Explor completes seismic trial in half the time with STRYDE

Explor, a seismic survey company, approached STRYDE with the challenge of conducting a high-density seismic survey in rugged, mountainous terrain for a mining client. The trial, which occurred during the COVID-19 lockdown, required a system that could be operated by a minimal crew without on-site vendor support. The goal was to confirm the suitability of STRYDE's Nimble system alongside Explor's own PinPoint seismic source.

STRYDE provided its lightweight Nimble nodal receivers and comprehensive remote support, including operating instructions. This solution allowed Explor's three-person team to successfully complete the 2D line in half the typical time with less than 20% of the usual crew. The equipment's portability reduced the need for heavy machinery and line clearing, enabling a near-zero environmental footprint. The trial's success led to a future project using over 20,000 STRYDE nodes and demonstrated significant operational efficiencies.
