Cobre Limited advances diamond drilling with STRYDE after 61.5 line km seismic survey

Cobre Limited, an ASX-listed exploration company, faced the challenge of identifying promising subsurface targets for copper-silver mineralisation at its Kitlanya West Project in Botswana. To address this, the company utilised seismic node technology from vendor STRYDE to conduct a pioneering active seismic survey.

The solution implemented by STRYDE enabled a high-resolution 61.5 line km survey, which successfully identified large-scale anticlinal trap-sites and provided clear reflective imaging to depths of approximately 7km. As a direct result of these findings, Cobre Limited commenced a deep diamond drilling program with three holes strategically positioned using the seismic data to validate the geophysical targets, marking a key step in its joint venture agreement with BHP.
