Case Study: CCED achieves world’s largest nodal seismic survey in Oman with STRYDE

CCED deploys 165,000-node seismic survey with STRYDE across 29,219 sq km

The customer, CCED, faced the challenge of acquiring high-resolution seismic data for oil and gas exploration in a large, complex onshore area of Oman in a cost-effective and operationally efficient manner while minimizing its environmental and HSE footprint. They partnered with the vendor STRYDE to utilize its nodal seismic acquisition system for this project.

STRYDE implemented a massive nodal survey using 165,000 nodes. This solution drastically reduced the required field crew size from 600 to 220 personnel and cut the vehicle count from 160 to 40, which minimized the HSE impact and expanded land access. The project successfully acquired over 5 million vibroseis points with zero lost time incidents, resulting in the world's largest nodal seismic survey and providing CCED with high-quality, high-density data for exploration.
