A Strutta Case Study
The Province, a British Columbia regional newspaper, needed to drive traffic to its 10-week Commuting Challenge and overcome consumer objections about hybrid cars. Partnering with Toyota BC (which loaned a 2013 Prius c to 10 commuters), The Province used Strutta’s social promotions platform to create a customized Facebook promotion that encouraged readers to watch video testimonials and engage with the content.
Using Strutta, The Province ran an interactive sweepstakes with video quizzes, sharing incentives, local test drives and supporting print/online promotion, while Strutta’s real-time analytics allowed on-the-fly optimization. The campaign generated 9,194 visits, 3,874 entries, 52% opt-ins for Toyota communications, 50% of entrants sharing on social media, nearly doubled The Province’s Facebook likes, drove traffic to the Toyota BC site and produced a grand-prize winner of a 2-year Prius c lease.
