Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism faced the challenge of driving awareness and travel interest in partnership with Target Marketing and WestJet, while generating buzz, capturing customer data, and growing social followers. To execute a high-impact promotional campaign they engaged Strutta and used Strutta’s Sweepstakes PRO package with custom services to power the contest.
Strutta implemented a 24‑hour promotion that gave away a trip every 30 minutes, hosted on Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism’s and WestJet’s Facebook pages, with customized data capture, automated random draws and a live leaderboard. The Strutta-powered sweepstakes averaged about 10 entries per second, doubled Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism’s Facebook fans in a day, captured nearly 900,000 customer leads and helped WestJet gain 7,000 new Facebook Likes (+12%), earning multiple industry awards.
