A Strutta Case Study
Kiwi Collection, the world's largest curated collection of luxury hotels, launched an Instagram account in 2013 but struggled to drive engagement and grow its follower base. To boost visibility and encourage user-generated content, Kiwi Collection partnered with Strutta and used Strutta’s contest platform to run a promotional campaign.
Using Strutta, Kiwi Collection ran a hashtag contest called #KiwiMoments that allowed entries via a website/Facebook contest page or hashtagged Instagram posts (automatically pulled into a Facebook gallery). Promoted with Facebook ads, newsletters and onsite marketing, the contest produced 118 entries, 3,390 contest-page visits and 826 votes in 22 days; Instagram followers grew 50% during the promotion and another 100% the following month, 54% of visits came from referring links and each share drove 10.2 clicks — delivering an engaged community and a trove of beautiful hotel photos for Kiwi Collection.
