Crate and Barrel gains $35 million in gift registry creation through a consumer driven photo contest

Crate and Barrel wanted to drive gift registry creation and engage consumers online. To do that, it ran the Ultimate Wedding Contest using Strutta’s Contest API.

Strutta helped Crate and Barrel validate each couple’s gift registry, build a customized site, and manage contest content and voting. The campaign ran in Spring 2010 and 2011 and produced $35 million in gift registry creation over two campaigns, with over 16,000 couples sharing their love story, over 3 million page views each year, and half a million votes cast each year.
