Airbnb turns their target audience into brand ambassadors with a Strutta contest

Airbnb, an emerging global network of accommodations offered by locals, wanted to increase brand awareness and drive traffic to their website. To mobilize their audience, Airbnb ran the "Destination: Honeymoon" photo-and-story contest using Strutta's Contest platform (Contest PRO) in partnership with Honeyfund.

Strutta delivered a branded microsite with custom CSS, a secure daily voting system via its FraudGuard protection, social sharing tools and Google Analytics tracking; entrants submitted photos and answered questions to enter. The Strutta-powered campaign drove strong engagement: 240 entrants acted as brand advocates, each shared link averaged 16 clicks, and participants cast 10,299 votes in one month.
