Billington Structures, one of the UK’s leading structural steelwork contractors, needed a better way to manage rising raw material costs, inventory, and production flow across multiple sites. STRUMIS, its steel fabrication management software, was used to help address these challenges.

STRUMIS provided Billington Structures with integrated inventory, purchasing, procurement, and production control, including stock management, automated purchase orders, material traceability, and EDI-linked supplier processes. This enabled materials to be ordered and delivered just in time, improving project planning, shop floor routing, and materials logistics while reducing waste and supporting cost savings. Billington Structures said STRUMIS strengthened its materials logistics process and improved administration of the production cycle.
