Genrec Engineering, part of Murray & Roberts, needed better traceability across its large-scale steel fabrication operations, especially as it expanded onto a major onsite infrastructure project with a very large laydown storage area. The company turned to STRUMIS and its bar code tracking capabilities to improve visibility of raw materials and fabricated items across the workshop and site.

STRUMIS implemented a bespoke bar coding interface that allowed Genrec to scan items out on production delivery notes, confirm receipt onsite, and record GPS-based location data for ongoing traceability. The solution reduced the risk of lost items in transit, improved onsite tracking, and gave Genrec a more automated, end-to-end project management process through STRUMIS.
