Al Shafar Steel Engineering L.L.C. (ASSENT), part of the Al Shafar Group, is one of the Middle East’s largest structural steel engineering and fabrication companies. In early 2012, the company sought to automate its new facility and connect seven side-by-side fabrication shops to CNC machinery, while also improving support, traceability, and future-proofing its operations with a modern steel fabrication management system from STRUMIS.

STRUMIS implemented its steel fabrication management information system to automate production from start to finish, feed NC files to CNC machines, and track parts through bar coding and dispatch. The system was also configured to receive feedback from CNC machines to reduce human error and improve traceability.
