A Strix Case Study

Preview of the Bank Case Study

Bank validates marketplace concept in 2 months with Strix

The bank, a financial institution, required a proof of concept to verify the business viability and technical assumptions for a new, highly scalable online marketplace intended to operate across the EMEA region. Their challenge was to create a platform capable of eventually supporting 20 million products and hundreds of thousands of suppliers. Strix was engaged to develop this test concept to validate the idea with the target market.

Strix delivered the proof of concept in just two months. Their solution involved comprehensive consulting workshops, the creation of a scalable microservices architecture leveraging Magento (Adobe Commerce), Mirakl, and Ergonode PIM, and a user-centric UX design based on Baymard Institute best practices. This approach provided the bank with a verified, scalable architecture plan and a detailed roadmap, enabling a potential fast start to the project with the option for significant future growth.
