How HumanForest together with StriveCloud co-created & launched a gamified loyalty program designed to motivate sustainable behavior & reward environmental impact

HumanForest, a London-based shared e-bike service, wanted to motivate more users to choose sustainable transportation and reduce CO2 emissions without relying on costly traditional loyalty rewards. They partnered with the vendor StriveCloud to co-create a gamified in-app loyalty program that would effectively communicate their environmental mission and encourage repeated use of their service.

StriveCloud implemented a comprehensive gamification system within the HumanForest app, featuring a points system called TreeCoins, a tree-themed leveling system, challenges, and a CO2-reduced leaderboard. This solution rewarded users for the environmental impact of their rides, making the brand mission tangible. The program successfully drove user engagement and sustainable behavior, with challenges like the "CO2 Saver" motivating the community to reduce 20 tons of CO2 in just one week.
