Epicenter, a Ukrainian retail ecosystem, aimed to enhance its eCommerce email marketing performance. The challenge was to make its promotional emails more prominent in crowded Gmail inboxes to improve open rates and drive more traffic and sales. They partnered with the vendor Stripo to leverage its email editor for implementing Gmail Promotions tab annotations.
Stripo provided a solution that simplified the design and implementation of these annotations within Epicenter's existing Yespo platform via a plugin. This enabled Epicenter to create eye-catching previews for their emails featuring discounts, promo codes, and end dates directly in the inbox. The results from using Stripo's tool were significant, with Epicenter reporting a 10–15% higher open rate on email campaigns that utilized annotations compared to those without.
