Yoycol, a fashion and custom clothing business, was struggling to distinguish fraud spikes from legitimate flash sales as its sales volumes surged unpredictably. This made fraud detection difficult, increased operational pressure, and risked card-brand monitoring issues. Yoycol worked with Stripe, using Stripe professional services and Radar for Fraud Teams, to address these challenges.
Stripe implemented an eight-week Fraud Strategy Advisory engagement, including threat modeling, persona-based rule mapping, and continuous fraud monitoring with Stripe Radar, Sigma, and Data Pipeline. As a result, Yoycol reduced false positive high-risk blocks to less than 0.2% and lowered chargeback rates to less than 0.1%, while keeping conversion stable and reducing disputes and fraud warnings to historic lows.
