A Stripe Case Study
World History Encyclopedia, a non-profit focused on improving history education worldwide, needed a cost-effective way to localize its subscription checkout for readers in multiple countries. It wanted to support local currencies and payment methods while keeping implementation simple, and chose Stripe Checkout and Stripe Billing to handle recurring donations and subscriptions.
Stripe helped World History Encyclopedia launch a fully localized payments page in just two days, supporting 10 currencies and 3 languages, with Stripe Climate also added as an incentive for sign-ups. In A/B testing, Stripe delivered a 5% increase in funnel conversion, leading World History Encyclopedia to roll out Stripe Checkout as its primary payments provider.
