Wiley, a global leader in research and education, needed to fix a fragmented checkout experience across thousands of domains and product suites that was driving cart abandonment and limiting global growth. Its legacy payment setup was too rigid for the company’s mix of physical and digital products, regions, and currencies, prompting Wiley to look for a more flexible solution from Stripe.
Stripe helped Wiley unify its payment operations with Stripe Payments, Stripe Checkout, Stripe Elements, Stripe Terminal, and Stripe Radar, supported by Stripe Enterprise Support. The new setup consolidated more than 5,000 domains into one payment provider, enabled checkout in 180+ countries, simplified in-person and online sales, and reduced friction for fraud monitoring. Wiley also used Stripe’s flexibility to launch a new subscription proof of concept in six weeks, opening the door to new revenue streams.
