Weave uses Stripe to launch new payments platform for SMBs

Weave wanted to add payments to its hardware-and-software platform so small and medium-sized businesses could manage communications and transactions in one place. After considering building as a PayFac, Weave found the approach too complex and costly, and turned to Stripe to help launch a seamless payments offering that could support both digital and in-person payments, with room to expand beyond its initial markets.

Stripe provided Weave with a fully integrated solution using Stripe Connect and Terminal, enabling Weave Payments to launch faster and with fewer resources. The results were strong: Weave launched 6 months faster than registering as a PayFac, needed 12 fewer developer resources, and processed $52.5 million in one-year payment volume, while growing payment customers 13% month over month and increasing processing volume 37% month over month.
