Universe owns the offline and online customer experience with Stripe Terminal

Universe, an event ticketing platform, expanded from online ticketing into in-person tools for walk-up sales, ticket upgrades, add-ons, and merchandise. As it moved into card-present transactions, Universe needed a way to handle the added compliance and infrastructure complexity without introducing a separate POS system. It partnered with Stripe and used Stripe Terminal to keep on-site payments simple for event organizers.

Stripe’s web and mobile SDKs let Universe extend its existing integration to in-person payments quickly, going from development to live production in just over a month. Stripe also provided pre-certified EMV readers with PCI-compliant software and security keys for end-to-end encryption, easing compliance for both card-not-present and card-present transactions. The result was a faster rollout and a scalable payment setup that helped Universe expand into new event scenarios and markets.
