Tuple, a purpose-built remote pair programming tool, was created because generic screen-sharing apps weren’t meeting developers’ needs for low-latency, efficient, high-quality collaboration. As Tuple grew—especially during the pandemic—it needed a better way to handle billing and customer onboarding than manual invoicing and hand-built provisioning, and turned to Stripe, using Stripe Billing from day one.

Stripe helped Tuple build a self-serve revenue system with Stripe Billing, Stripe Checkout, the customer portal, and Stripe Capital. The result was a more scalable subscription setup, improved conversion rates, easier customer self-management, and support for marketing efforts, with Tuple saying it has no plans to return to bespoke billing code.
