Thinkific partners with Stripe to boost creator revenue and simplify back-office operations

Thinkific, a platform for creator educators to build and grow online businesses, wanted to help its users generate more recurring revenue while reducing the time they spent on payments, accounting, and tax compliance. To support its global expansion and improve the creator experience, Thinkific partnered with Stripe and used products including Stripe Connect, Stripe Billing, and Stripe Tax.

Using Stripe’s infrastructure, Thinkific launched embedded payments, optimized checkout, local payment methods, and automated tax and onboarding tools to simplify operations and boost conversion. The results have been strong: Thinkific Payments surpassed $100 million in processed volume, with more than $62 million in the first half of 2023, and about 80% of new creators in the US, UK, and Canada now start with Thinkific Payments. Thinkific said Stripe helped it move about twice as fast as other platforms.
