Ramp chooses Stripe to launch simplified business purchasing and expense management

Ramp wanted to help finance teams spend less time on manual work and more time running their businesses, but it needed a scalable way to launch and grow its corporate card program. Shortly after launching in 2020, Ramp chose Stripe and Stripe Issuing to build the card experience into its platform, first in the US and then across the UK and EEA.

With Stripe, Ramp created a flexible issuing stack with custom authorization, transaction processing, and real-time spending controls, while also supporting local currencies and regional compliance needs. Stripe has powered Ramp’s rollout of more than 2 million virtual and physical cards for over 50,000 businesses, driving more than $100 billion in annual purchase volume and helping customers save $10 billion in excess spending and 27.5 million hours of manual work.
