Planity grows payment volume by 200% and launches new revenue stream with Stripe

Planity, the Paris-based salon booking platform, wanted to evolve from an appointment scheduler into a full revenue management solution for salons. It needed payments, deposits to reduce no-shows, in-person payment and tipping support, and a flexible platform that could adapt to local payment preferences as it expanded across Europe. Stripe helped Planity add these capabilities through Stripe Connect, Stripe Payments, and Stripe Terminal.

With Stripe, Planity unified online and offline payments, automated payouts, enabled deposit collection, and introduced smarter tipping and local payment methods. The results included a 200% increase in annual payment volume from €40 million in 2020 to €120 million in 2023, 5% more revenue for Planity from monetized deposits, and higher salon retention with nearly half the churn among fully integrated users. Stripe also supported Planity’s international growth, helping it onboard more than 400 salons in Belgium and Germany.
