Pitch wanted to launch its presentation software globally in 2020 through a freemium model, but faced tough competition and needed a way to monetize from day one while keeping a premium user experience. With Stripe, Pitch simplified its codebase, launched paid subscriptions at public release, and used the Stripe Dashboard to manage billing without building custom tools. The result was a seamless rollout, with 95% of paying customers self-serve and engineering time freed up for other projects; Pitch also onboarded more than 25,000 teams during beta and created over 125,000 workspaces, with future room to expand local payment methods and currencies through Stripe.
