Minna no Market, an online marketplace for comparing and requesting home-service businesses, needed to move beyond cash-only transactions to improve the experience for customers and business owners. The company also wanted a payment solution that could handle the unique needs of its marketplace, such as service fees and on-site adjustments, and it chose Stripe for this purpose.

Minna no Market implemented Stripe Connect in 2020 to enable card payments, lump-sum fee payments, on-site amount changes, and work deposits. With Stripe, the card payment rate improved, same-day payments became easier for business owners, and the platform could respond more quickly to price fluctuations and cancellation fees.
