Mexican Red Cross partners with Stripe to power online and mobile payments

The Mexican Red Cross, a longtime nonprofit provider of emergency medical and humanitarian aid across Mexico, needed to modernize its donation process as donor habits shifted away from cash. To expand fundraising, it looked for a simple, secure way to accept online and mobile donations with better visibility into transactions, and chose Stripe Payments and related tools to do it.

Stripe implemented Payments, Billing, Optimized Checkout Suite, Link, and the Dashboard to enable digital donations, recurring payments, and real-time payment tracking. The rollout took just two weeks with no code, and the organization later extended Stripe Connect to more than 500 local chapters. Stripe helped the Mexican Red Cross broaden fundraising reach, simplify checkout, and improve accounting efficiency, with 5% of online payments coming through Apple Pay within six months and significant reductions in manual fund distribution.
