Kahunas, a bootstrapped fitness app startup founded to help personal trainers move their services online during COVID-19, needed a fast way to launch a white-label app with global payment processing. The company chose Stripe for billing and payments, including Stripe Connect, Stripe Payments, and Stripe Billing, to support trainers across multiple regions, currencies, and future growth needs.

With Stripe, Kahunas integrated payments in under a month and later simplified its code with Stripe Checkout while using Billing to automate subscriptions, handle failed payments, and improve reporting. The results included more than 6,000 trainers processing $1.2 million in monthly transactions, $4 million in annual revenue, and a 9% reduction in churn, with trial conversion rates rising from 50% to 65%.
