Inter.mx, an insurtech and insurance broker in Mexico, wanted to make insurance more accessible through a new freemium subscription model called “Te Regalamos Un Seguro.” To launch this offering quickly and support recurring payments, flexible pricing, and fraud prevention, the company turned to Stripe for payments and subscription management.
Stripe helped Inter.mx implement Stripe Payments, Stripe Billing, Optimized Checkout, and Stripe Radar to enable free and paid plans, automate billing, and reduce fraud. The integration was completed in less than two months, just in time for the F1 Mexico City Grand Prix launch; the campaign video drew more than 4 million YouTube views, about 8% of free users converted to paid subscriptions within six months, and fraud rates stayed low as the program grew.
