A Stripe Case Study
G Adventures, a pioneer in community tourism with trips in more than 100 countries, faced major disruption during the pandemic, along with rising payment complexity and compliance issues. It needed a more flexible, scalable, and PSD2-compliant payments setup to support credits, rebooking, and local payment preferences, while also fixing high European transaction failure rates ahead of its annual cyber sale. Stripe helped G Adventures address these challenges through its payments platform and partner Constanci.
Stripe and Constanci implemented a flexible, compliant payments infrastructure integrated with G Adventures’ internal systems, using Stripe Elements, Payment Links, and Stripe APIs to improve reporting and back-office reconciliation. The results were strong: European transaction failures dropped from 50% to 0.3%, overall declines due to reasons other than insufficient funds fell below 2%, implementation time was cut in half, call-center volumes decreased, and G Adventures reduced software, transaction, and oversight costs while improving cash flow.
