Fashion brand Adastria builds a new C2C platform using Stripe to ensure quick development of their payment function

Adastria Co., Ltd., a Japanese fashion retailer with stores across Asia and the United States, wanted to enter the C2C market for the first time by launching a secondhand clothing marketplace. The company needed a payments partner that could handle C2C-specific functions such as pooled sales, fee deductions, and seller payouts, while fitting with its existing points system. Adastria chose Stripe and its Stripe Connect product to power the new dot-C app.

With support from Stripe’s professional services team, Adastria completed the payment function in just three months and launched dot-C smoothly. The platform now gives accounting easy access to sales, fees, and points data, while Stripe Radar helps block fraud and no major payment breaches have occurred. After the launch, Adastria also extended Stripe to its StyMore metaverse platform, successfully rolling out that payments flow as well.
