Deliveroo expands globally and launches new revenue stream with Stripe

Deliveroo, the online food delivery company, partnered with Stripe as its primary payment solution provider and used Stripe to support rapid global growth. As Deliveroo expanded into markets like the UK, Singapore, Spain, and Hong Kong, it also launched new initiatives such as Deliveroo Plus, while working to improve payment success, reduce PCI burden, and strengthen the customer experience.

Stripe helped Deliveroo roll out subscription billing for Deliveroo Plus, optimize authorisation rates, and localize payments across regions with methods like Apple Pay, Google Pay, iDeal, Bancontact, and Cartes Bancaires. The results were significant: in 2020 Deliveroo processed £4.08 billion in total volume, over 90% on Stripe, recovered more than £100 million in at-risk revenue, and achieved a 96.98% card authorisation rate.
