CrowdFarming pays farmers 89% faster with Stripe

CrowdFarming is a farmer-focused online marketplace that helps consumers buy organic produce directly from growers. As it scaled beyond Spain, it needed a simpler way to manage payments, pay farmers faster, and support more currencies and payment methods while keeping compliance manageable. CrowdFarming chose Stripe as the foundation for its payments platform, using Stripe Payments, Stripe Connect, and Stripe Billing.

With Stripe, CrowdFarming enabled direct payouts to farmers, expanded to methods like PayPal and SEPA, and launched recurring subscriptions for its Discovery Fruit Box. The results were significant: more than 300 farmers are paid in 14 days, or 89% faster than the traditional supply chain, customer acquisition costs fell by 8% in Germany, and the company grew by 25% even during drought-related crop losses. CrowdFarming also launched its subscription service in under three months with Stripe.
