Chatwork migrates to Stripe to increase customer value and drive business growth

ChatWork, the largest domestic Japanese business chat platform, wanted to expand its user base but was being slowed down by the complexity of handling subscriptions, invoicing, and payments in-house. Its internal tools required engineering time for fee changes, plan updates, and unusual billing cases, which limited resources for product improvement. ChatWork turned to Stripe and Stripe Billing to simplify its payment operations and support growth.

By migrating subscription billing management to Stripe in July 2023, ChatWork reduced maintenance work and freed its engineering team to focus on improving the service. With Stripe, the company cut a pricing-structure update from about six months to around one month. Stripe also gave ChatWork a scalable, reliable platform for billing and invoicing, helping it deliver a better experience to its 431,000+ installed companies and millions of users.
