A Stripe Case Study
Buck Mason, the classic American clothing brand, was growing quickly but needed a new in-store payment system that could replace its custom-built setup and meet stricter PCI compliance requirements. Using Stripe and its developer-friendly payments technology, the company needed a solution that could integrate with its browser-based POS, support contactless payments, and work across online and in-store commerce.
Stripe implemented Stripe Terminal, enabling Buck Mason to keep its custom POS while adding full PCI compliance, end-to-end encryption, and flexible payment acceptance across tablets, laptops, and phones. The result was faster innovation and major business growth: Buck Mason has added 25 stores since 2018 to reach 30 locations, in-store sales now make up 50% of revenue, and the company launched buy-online-pickup-in-store in just two weeks during the pandemic instead of several months.
