Bodum, a third-generation family company known for sustainable kitchen and home accessories, saw its retail model disrupted by the pandemic as shoppers shifted online. To quickly strengthen its direct-to-consumer sales, Bodum turned to Stripe and needed a seamless checkout experience for mobile and desktop customers across multiple markets.

Working with Stripe, Bodum used Stripe Elements to build a polished checkout flow that accepted credit cards and supported local payment methods like Bancontact and iDEAL. The implementation helped Bodum launch its system in under a month and expand its e-commerce business to 23 countries across Europe, North America, Australia, and Asia, while reducing the need to worry about development resources or system updates.
