Bloomerang, a donor and fundraising management platform for nonprofits, needed a way to help its customers accept donations more easily at events and physical locations without relying on traditional payment hardware. Using Stripe and its existing Stripe Connect-based payments system, Bloomerang set out to remove friction from in-person giving and make donating more accessible for volunteers, staff, and younger donors who prefer modern payment methods.
Stripe helped Bloomerang add Tap to Pay on iPhone through the Stripe Terminal SDK, letting nonprofits accept contactless payments with just an iPhone. The result was faster, simpler donation collection, stronger adoption among users, and better access for younger donors; 25% of Bloomerang’s nonprofits used Tap to Pay on iPhone within a month of launch, and the feature drove the company’s fastest feature adoption ever.
