BigCommerce wanted to help merchants succeed in a more complex omnichannel e-commerce world, but also needed a flexible, open platform that could support mid-market and enterprise growth. To do that, BigCommerce worked with Stripe as a key payments partner so merchants could access modern payment capabilities without having to manage separate integrations.
BigCommerce and Stripe implemented a pre-integrated solution that exposed Stripe’s billing, subscriptions, checkout, and point-of-sale capabilities natively inside BigCommerce. The result was greater flexibility for merchants, faster rollout of new payment methods and country coverage, and no extra charge for using Stripe. BigCommerce says the partnership helps its merchants globally by combining best-of-breed payments with an open SaaS commerce platform.
