Beyond Menu, an online ordering platform for small, family-owned Asian restaurants, needed a new payments system that could support its restaurant-first roadmap without taking too much developer time. The company wanted to preserve its checkout flow, speed up payouts, simplify onboarding, and create room for future growth with subscription fees and new payment methods.
Stripe helped Beyond Menu move to **Stripe Connect**, along with **Stripe Payment Element**, **Billing**, and **Revenue Recognition**. The transition was completed in just two months with only one developer and one project manager. Stripe-hosted onboarding reduced KYC work, weekly and daily payouts improved restaurant cash flow, and payment flexibility made it easier to test options like WeChat Pay and expand into Canada. Beyond Menu also launched a subscription model, and its improved restaurant websites reportedly doubled conversion rates.
