Ben & Frank, the leading direct-to-consumer eyewear brand in Mexico and Chile, struggled with low conversion rates under its previous payments provider because of limited fraud controls and reporting. Mexico’s highly localized payments ecosystem, high fraud rates, and weak e-commerce support made it difficult to prove repeat-customer trust to issuers, resulting in incorrect declines and a poor customer experience.
Ben & Frank integrated Stripe (Payments and Radar) in two weeks and ran a three-month trial, leveraging Stripe’s local issuer relationships, machine-learning Adaptive Acceptance, and Radar’s automated fraud scoring and custom rules. The result was a 10% uplift in authorization/conversion rates, reduced fraud and chargebacks, faster dispute resolution, and improved customer satisfaction.
