atVenu streamlines merchandise sales at live events with Stripe

atVenu, the live-events merchandise platform, needed a reliable way to add in-person card and contactless payments to its system as cashless venues grew more common. After an earlier payments partner failed and its hardware struggled in temporary, unstable environments, atVenu turned to Stripe for a better POS and payments solution.

Using Stripe Connect and Stripe Terminal, Stripe helped atVenu securely manage funds across thousands of artists, venues, and festivals while rolling out durable hardware like the BBPOS Chipper 2X and Stripe Reader M2. The results were significant: transactions rose 310% since 2019, the platform can now process more than $10 million in a single night, and post-event disbursements became five times faster, dropping from four to six weeks to just five to six days.
