Alberta Motor Association (AMA) needed to replace outdated roadside and in-store payment processes that were creating frustration for customers, slowing field agents, and making transactions difficult to track across its growing multiservice business. AMA turned to Stripe, working with Hiveway and Stripe Terminal to support both roadside assistance and physical locations, while also handling diverse payment types like gift cards.
Stripe and Hiveway implemented Stripe Terminal with mobile readers for field agents and a unified in-store checkout system that integrated payments, gift cards, and backend reporting. The results included faster checkout and shorter queues, stronger security and PCI compliance, and major time savings for staff—registry agents save about 23 minutes per day each, totaling nearly 54 hours across about 140 agents.
