Unifying data to support faster creation of new business services at a lower cost

Leading Financial Data Provider, a major global financial data services company, needed to modernize a highly fragmented environment spread across more than 80 siloed systems. To support a cloud-first strategy while minimizing disruption for customers dependent on its data services, the company had to migrate and synchronize massive data volumes across complex legacy and cloud environments.

Using Striim Platform on Google Cloud, the company implemented real-time, bi-directional streaming and change data capture to move historical and changing data from on-premises Oracle systems to the cloud. Striim helped enable a staged migration with failback capability, reduced batch processing time from about 100 hours to roughly 1 hour for one customer, improved security and governance, and accelerated innovation and time to market for new data-driven services.
