Blume Global accelerates cloud adoption with Striim

Blume Global, a leading supply‑chain technology provider, needed to move its CarrierGo SaaS application to the cloud to boost scalability and resilience while ensuring an accurate, low‑risk migration of a 1TB, multi‑tenant Oracle database without disrupting tens of thousands of global users. To achieve this, Blume selected Striim—using Striim Migration Service / Striim Platform for Google Cloud—to provide a proven, commercial streaming data solution that met its performance and data‑integrity requirements.

Striim implemented an initial bulk load followed by continuous unidirectional streaming (CDC) from the on‑premises Oracle source to a MySQL target on Google Compute Engine, allowing the production database to remain live throughout the migration. The approach enabled a fast setup (hours), flexible licensing to control costs, no significant downtime or disruption for global users, and completion of the migration so Blume can decommission its source data center, realize long‑term cost savings, and rapidly scale on Google Cloud.
