Tracking Employee Time and Distribution Logistics with Ease

Goodwill Industries, specifically its Northwest North Carolina branch, needed a more efficient way to track employee time and manage a growing logistics operation. With drivers moving between donation centers, retail stores, and home pickup locations, the organization wanted a better way to dispatch jobs and share navigation information in real time. StreetSmart, a division of ClickSoftware, provided the field workforce management solution used in the case study.

StreetSmart implemented Field Force Manager to help Goodwill track employee time, manage driver dispatches, and monitor workforce activity across home and commercial pickups as well as donation center drop-offs. As a result, Goodwill improved dispatch capability, expanded workload without adding personnel or vehicles, and gained better visibility into employee time, jobs, and deliveries. The success of the solution also positioned Goodwill to expand its use to manage all 320 traveling donation trailers.
