Case Study: Jane Jane creates a go-to cocktail spot with Streetsense

A Streetsense Case Study

Jane Jane designs a 790-square-foot cocktail spot with Streetsense

The customer, Jane Jane, faced the challenge of designing a world-class cocktail bar within a very small, 790-square-foot space in Washington, DC's 14th Street corridor during the COVID-19 pandemic. The vendor, Streetsense, provided interior architecture services to overcome these constraints and create a distinctive venue.

Streetsense implemented a solution that embraced the space's intimacy, forgoing a back-of-house and making the bar the central showpiece. The design team paid meticulous attention to every detail, from an intricate tile pattern to a custom leather bar top, to create a space that feels both elevated and cozy. The result was a tremendous success; Jane Jane became an immediate hit with a nightly line out the door, achieving the owners' goal of a popular neighborhood spot. According to the Washingtonian, Streetsense delivered a stunning interior that felt familiar without being generic.
