Case Study: Callia creates a wellness-focused desert retreat with Streetsense branding and interior architecture

A Streetsense Case Study

Callia launches a 402-residence wellness retreat with Streetsense

Streetsense was engaged by Callia, a residential apartment community in Phoenix, to develop its brand identity and interior architecture. The challenge was to differentiate Callia from surrounding multifamily properties with industrial or midcentury styles by creating a design that promoted wellness and was authentically connected to the natural Phoenix landscape.

The solution implemented by Streetsense was a branding and interior design approach that evoked the dusky desert environment with polished finishes, artful elements, and a subtle glamour. Key features included a moveable exterior storefront to blur indoor-outdoor boundaries and combined amenity spaces to encourage resident engagement. As a result, Streetsense created a sophisticated wellness retreat for residents, and the branding work earned Callia a 2022 GDUSA American Graphic Design Award.
