Streetline’s smart parking solution improves management and motorist experience for ADA spaces

Oregon State University, a major research and public-engagement institution with over 26,000 students, sought to improve access to a limited number of ADA parking spaces across its core campus. The challenge was ensuring fair, timely availability of these spaces while giving motorists and campus departments better visibility into occupancy and demand.

OSU partnered with Streetline to deploy a smart parking solution—ParkSight, ParkEdge, Parker, and ParkerMap—instrumenting 75 ADA spaces with vehicle-detection sensors and publishing real-time availability to a mobile app and web maps. The system provides 24/7 monitoring and usage metrics for Disability Access Services and Parking Services, enabled ParkerMap embeds on departmental sites, delivered positive user feedback, and produced data to guide future allocation and policy decisions while enhancing campus accessibility.
