Keytop, a smart parking solution provider in the IoT industry, needed a more robust message architecture to support rapid growth across more than 10,000 parking facilities and hundreds of thousands of devices. Its existing cloud-based messaging setup struggled with high throughput, low latency, reliability, and rising costs as message volumes exceeded 300 GB per day, so the company evaluated several options including Apache Pulsar from StreamNative.

StreamNative helped Keytop redesign its system around Apache Pulsar, using it as the backbone for an active-active, cross-cloud architecture with geo-replication, multi-tenant isolation, and easier scaling. The new setup improved data reliability and consistency, kept messages intact across cloud platforms during disruptions, and positioned Keytop to scale more efficiently on Kubernetes while reducing operational risk and improving parking service performance.
