CD Projekt Red selected Streamline Studios as its first external co-development partner to help execute a $125 million USD strategy for enhancing Cyberpunk 2077 post-release. The challenge was to refactor and optimize the base game on the road to its 2.0 version, which involved a significant backlog of bug fixes and feature improvements.

Streamline Studios provided C++ engineering and design teams to perform major refactoring and optimizations, work on features like navigation and vehicles, and fully implement a cross-progression system. This solution resulted in a more stable and performant game. The strategy paid off, with the Phantom Liberty DLC being lauded as one of the best of all time and helping Cyberpunk 2077 break 25 million copies sold.
