Lekkerland, via SDC Lekkerland in Italy, wanted a new way to attract passersby into its convenience stores. Each of the chain’s 11 Italian stores was fitted with FeONIC Technology’s Whispering Window to detect approaching customers and deliver tailored audio offers, and Streamit supplied the SIR120 internet radio as the play-out device to feed those windows.

Streamit’s SIR120 streams music and targeted commercials directly to the Whispering Windows so audio content can be matched in real time to each detected customer. Implemented by Streamit’s Italian distributor Think and Make.it together with Ros&Ros, the solution is now live in all 11 Lekkerland stores, providing a measurable rollout across the estate and enabling targeted window audio that helps entice more shoppers into the stores.
